On the Samaná highway – Las Galeras , about 20 minutes from Samaná, you will find a Texaco gasoline station. At the next street, turn left and drive on the paved road (always to the right) for about 10 – 15 minutes.
Then, you will go through the community of Los Tocones, where the Police Station is located, there you must turn right and continue on the same path that leads to Playa Rincón. After about 5 minutes you will find the Pedro María Pichardo school on the left and the Aventura Rincón Ecolodge sign. There turn left and follow that dirt road for another 5 minutes until you find the other sign for A. R. E.
The trip takes approximately 3 hours. Departure times from Santo Domingo to Samaná. 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 2:30 pm, 4:30 pm on the track.
If you take the one that goes to Las Galeras, you can stay at the Texaco pump and take a second bus to the ecolodge or you can take this same bus from Samaná.
These buses leave from the main street of Samaná, next to the El Abejorro store (in the market). The last one from Samaná to Rincón leaves at 5:45pm.
Address: Parque Enriquillo, behind Plaza Lama in Duarte. They start leaving 6:00 am every half hour until 6:30 pm.
